Dynatuners implemented a comprehensive reporting architecture leveraging dual-write synchronization between Dynamics 365 F&O and Dataverse to maintain real-time consistency of project financial data including budgets, actuals, commitments, and forecasts. Custom Dataverse entities were created to capture mining-specific data elements such as drill hole information, assay results, geological formations, and resource estimates. Data integration from field systems was implemented using Azure Data Factory pipelines to extract, transform, and load operational data into Dataverse on scheduled intervals. The team developed over 30 Power BI reports organized into report categories including financial analysis (project cost variance, budget consumption, contractor spend), operational metrics (drilling progress, meterage by formation, equipment hours), exploration results (assay values, mineralization trends, target prioritization), and executive dashboards (portfolio health, capital deployment, key performance indicators). Row-level security was implemented ensuring users only accessed reports for projects and sites aligned with their organizational roles. The reporting solution provided synchronized data across Project Operations for project planning and collaboration, Dynamics 365 F&O for financial management and accounting, and Power BI for visualization and analysis, creating a unified reporting environment for mining operations management.
